Stock market sheds 0.14% in one week amidst profit taking

Trading on the floor of the Nigerian stock market last week closed bearish as 51 stocks closed the week lower.
The All Share Index and Market capitalization dipped by 0.14% and 0.17% to settle at 105,511.89 points and N66.147 trillion respectively. Year to date, the market has returned 2.51%.
An aggregate of 1.18 billion units of shares were traded in 42,397 deals, valued at N28.9 billion.
The market breadth closed negative as 23 stocks gained against 51 stocks that declined in their share prices.
TOP 10 GAINERS
VFDGROUP led other gainers in the course of last week with 20.76% growth, closing at N57.00 from the previous close of N47.20.
UNIONDICON, African Prudential, NGXGROUP and UPDCREIT grew their share prices by 19.59%, 15.71%, 11.90% and 10.91% respectively.
Other top 10 gainers include: DAAR COMMUNICATION 10.00%, FIDSON 7.76%, SMURFIT 7.69%, Transcorp Hotel 7.13% and UPDC 6.06% respectively.
TOP 10 LOSERS
UACN led other price decliners, shedding 18.31% of its share price to close at N29.00 from the previous close of N35.50.
Sunu Assurance, Universal Insurance, OANDO and Consolidated Hallmark Holding shed their share prices by 13.38%, 13.13%, 13.13% and 12.85% respectively.
Other price decliners include: TANTALIZER (10.34%), LASACO (10.00%), PZ (9.97%), UPL (9.95%) and OMATEK (9.86%) respectively.
