Ramadan: Senator Oyewumi shares bags of rice, other food items to constituents

As part of humanitarian Service to his constituents during Ramadan, the Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Lere Oyewumi, has begun distribution of rices and other food items to residents of the 10 local governments that comprise Osun West Senatorial District to commemorate Ramadan 1445AH.

According to him, the aim is to alleviate the burden on households and ensure that families have access to essential food items during this time of fasting and reflection.

Oyewumi who vowed to take cognisance of serving the needs of the community and providing assistance where it is most needed said, given out during Ramadan is a step in seeking Allah’s favour.

He said the gesture will serve as a beacon of hope and solidarity for his constituents who are not well to do.

He urged the Muslim Ummah to use the period of fasting to seek Allah’s face for the economic sustainability of the nation and success of the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke in Osun state.
