Embattled President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria of Nigeria (AGN) who was very visible in President Goodluck Jonathan’s failed re-election bid, has finally opened up on how Nollywood and indeed the entire country will fare without the Otueke, Bayelsa State-born strong man.
Jonathan’s loss was Ibinabo’ssecond shocker(in a row) after her recent ‘sack’ by a court on a ruling of a case filed by one of the factional leaders of the guild, Emeka Ike consequent upon which she now retains her office through a motion of appeal.
According to one of her aides who spoke under anonymity, she was completely devastated by the outcome of the presidential that it took her many days to overcome the shock.
Back on her feet and believing that the battle has been won and lost, the mother of three who, only last December wedded her dream man despite having three kids from others, is not hiding her feelings about the magic wand the outgoing president posses.
‘’President is a great leader who brought greatness to the country. I have no regret supporting him and I expect people to respect my decision,’’ she began.
According to her, Jonathan is a very good man and Nigerians have just lost the one who was brought to us to set a solid foundation for greatness.
‘’The reactionary forces overwhelmed him especially from within. It is well with him, We fought a good fight, thanks to everybody that believed in him, it was not a wasted confidence, He has more to offer to the world,’’ she added.
She nonetheless congratulated the winner, General MuhammaduBuhari and the All Progressives Congress.
‘’Nigeria belongs to us all, let us love our country,’’
