Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Imo State, Captain Emmanuel Iheancho, has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of conducting the worst election in the annals of the state.
He alleged that the commission aided fraudulent practices during the governorship and state Assembly elections in which the wishes of the people of the state were not allowed to stand.
The former Minister of Interior and business mogul, however, vowed to strengthen the party ahead of the 2019 general elections.
Ihenacho, who stated this yesterday while addressing members of his campaign organisation in Emekuku, Owerri, slammed INEC for conducting what he described as the worst election ever witnessed in the state.
He pointed out that rather than be the umpire, the commission aided rigging of the governorship and state Assembly polls in favour of the government in power through the allocation of votes and in the process denying the people of Imo State their rights to choose who governs or represents them.
