Asanike extols virtues of Florence Ajimobi, congratulates her on appointment as ‘ambassador to Austria’

Prince Kola Asatola Asanike, a governorship aspirant in Oyo State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has described Mrs Florence Ajimobi as a mother figure and a good leader who has stood firmly not only for the unity of the APC but also for the progress of Nigeria.
Asanike, in a statement issued by his media office in Ibadan, congratulated Mrs Ajimobi on her appointment as Nigeria’s Ambassadors-designate to Austria by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He described the appointment as well deserved and expressed confidence that she would use her wealth of experience to promote Nigeria’s image and harness the potentials of both countries to advance economic and industrial development.
The governorship aspirant said Nigerians are hopeful that during her tenure, bilateral relations between Austria and Nigeria would become more cordial. He added that she is also expected to explore various areas that would further strengthen collaboration between the two countries.
“As you embark on this new diplomatic journey, I urge you to leverage Austria’s strong economy and technological advancements to foster mutually beneficial trade agreements and investments in Nigeria. Austria’s expertise in renewable energy, infrastructure development and manufacturing could be pivotal in driving Nigeria’s economic growth,” Asanike said.
He added: “Culturally, Austria’s rich heritage and Nigeria’s vibrant traditions could lead to exciting collaborations in arts, music and education. I encourage you, ma, to promote Nigerian culture and heritage in Austria by showcasing our country’s unique traditions and fostering people-to-people connections.”
The Ibadan-born politician also noted that Austria’s strategic location in Europe and its commitment to international peacekeeping make the country an important partner for Nigeria in addressing transnational security threats.
“I have no doubt that your experience, leadership capacity and global exposure will enable you to effectively represent Nigeria’s interests in Austria and strengthen bilateral relations between our countries,” he said.
The astute economist, farmer and philanthropist stressed that the appointment of Mrs Ajimobi “is a meritorious development with the potential for mutual benefits for both Nigeria and Austria.” He then wished the new ambassador success in her assignment.
