President-elect Muhammadu Buhari has been advised to appoint people of proven integrity into his cabinet in order to ensure speedy development of the country.

Former Administrator of Azara Development Area of Nasarawa State, Alhaji Mohammed Tanko, gave this advice yesterday in Lafia.

“Buhari is a man of proven integrity and unquestionable character, hence this advice. Appointment of people with proven integrity will not only only help to fight corruption but “It will also address the current challenges facing the nation for the benefit of all”, Tanko said.

He called on Nigerians to continue to pray for the incoming administration to enable it to succeed in the task ahead of it.

Tanko added that prayer was key to the success of every individual and government.

The former administrator enjoined the people of the state to live in peace and tolerate one another irrespective of ethnic, religious and political affiliations.

Former Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), in Lafia local Government Area, Alhaji Danlami Kowanaka, enjoined incoming national administration to appoint people without blemish in order to move the country forward.

“First and foremost, I want to use this medium to commend the electorate for their peaceful conduct during the 2015 general elections.

“I also commended INEC for conducting the most free, fair and credible elections in the country.

“I call on Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Tanko Al-makura, among others, to appoint people of unquestionable character and without blemish into their administrations in the interest of peace and national development”, Kawonaka said.

Kawona also asked Buhari and other newly elected leaders to be transparent in discharging their duties.

A chieftain of APC in Nasarawa state, Alhaji Yahaya Musa, urged members-elect of the National and State Houses of Assembly to use their constituency allowances judiciously.
