The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has issued a public notice declaring a Lagos-based woman, Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, wanted over an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence.

The notice, released on Monday and signed by the agency’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, stated that the 41-year-old is being sought in connection with the alleged fraud.

“The public is hereby notified that Halimat Adenike Tejuosho is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence,” the statement said.

According to the commission, her last known address is House A26, Aso Grove Estate, Maitama Extension, Abuja.

The anti-graft agency appealed to the public to provide useful information that could aid in locating and arresting the suspect. It advised anyone with relevant details to contact any of its offices across the country, including those in Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, and Abuja.

The EFCC also urged citizens to relay information through its official communication channels or report to the nearest police station and other security agencies.

The commission reiterated its commitment to tackling financial crimes and called for continued public cooperation in tracking down suspects.
