Federal Character Commission gets Acting Executive Chairman

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dr Shettima Bukar-Abba as the Acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC).

Mr Chucks Okoli, the Deputy Director, Planning and Strategy of the commission, made this known to on Wednesday in Abuja.

Bukar-Abba’s appointment followed the demise of Alhaji Muhammad Bello Alkali, the former Executive Chairman of the Commission, last Friday.

Okoli said that until his appointment on Monday, Bukar-Abba, a seasoned civil servant, was the Federal Commissioner representing Borno State in the commission.

He said that the Acting Executive Chairman, who was also a two time Secretary to the Borno State Government, had assumed duty. (NAN)
