‎The Osun State House of Assembly investigative panel constituted by Speaker Najeem Salaam has summoned Justice Olamide Folahanmi Oloyede to appear before the parliament tomorrow.

It would be recalled that Justice Folahanmi Oloyede had petitioned the Assembly, accusing Governor Rauf Aregbesola and her deputy, Mrs Titilaoye Tomori, of misappropriation of state fund.

This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the speaker, Mr Goke Butika, in Osogbo, yesterday.

“The panel in a letter signed by its chairman who doubles as the Deputy Speaker, Akintunde Adegboye, asked Justice Oloyede to appear before the panel with her evidential proofs to substantiate the allegations raised in her petitions”, he disclosed.

The letter reads in part: “You are to appear before the panel constituted by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Najeem Salaam, saddled with the responsibility to investigate the allegations raised in your petition and you are enjoined to appear with your evidences to substantiate the allegations”.

The panel chairman also disclosed that no form of fanfare, pro or anti protesters would be tolerated within the premises of state parliament, asserting that no trouble maker would be allowed to disrupt the peace of the state.

Meanwhile, the minority leader of the Assembly, Hon. Makinde Oladejo, has faulted the composition of the committee for non-inclusion of members of the opposition party in the House.

“There are two political parties in this House of Assembly and the committee comprised of only members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) while we from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were left out completely”.

He, therefore, disclosed that the minority in the House has no confidence in the ability of the committee to do justice in the matter.

But the chairman of the committee, Hon. Adegboye Akintunde, assured people of the state that the committee would investigate the matter thoroughly without bias or sentiment.
