2027: Olaoluwa emerges Accord Party candidate for Osun Central senate seat

The immediate past Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives in Osun State, Alhaji Ganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa, popularly known as Asejere, has emerged as the Accord Party’s senatorial candidate for Osun Central Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Olaoluwa emerged through a consensus primary election conducted under the supervision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The exercise, coordinated by the national and state leadership of the Accord Party, was held on Friday at Adebimpe Event Hall, Omo-West, Osogbo.
The primary election attracted notable party leaders, stakeholders, delegates, youth groups, and women representatives from the ten local government areas that make up the Osun Central Senatorial District.
Party members unanimously endorsed Olaoluwa, citing his strong grassroots connection, leadership credentials, and commitment to the development and progress of the district.
Speaking shortly after his emergence, Olaoluwa expressed gratitude to the party leadership and members for the confidence reposed in him. He pledged to provide quality representation, promote inclusive leadership, and pursue people-oriented policies if elected.
