2026: Adeleke makes strong case for second term in Osun

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has declared that his administration’s performance and fulfillment of campaign promises justify a second term in office.

The Governor made the remarks while receiving a delegation of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADS), Osun State Council, during a courtesy visit to the Government House, Osogbo.

The delegation was led by the National Vice President of the society, Asiwaju Justice Adeigbe (Rtd), alongside the Osun State chapter Chairman, Chief Daud Oladapo.

Speaking on behalf of the group, State Secretary Dr. Afeez Akande praised Adeleke’s performance and pledged the society’s support for the continuity of his administration.

“We have been following your work, and it is remarkable. The monumental projects you are executing make it seem like we have never had a Governor like you before,” Dr. Akande said.

He noted that the administration’s projects are timely and impactful, citing infrastructural initiatives such as the dualisation of roads in Iwo as evidence of Adeleke’s visionary leadership.

“That road project has boosted economic activities in the area. Such development reflects vision and commitment to follow-through. We appreciate your work and are resolved to support its continuation,” he added.

Responding, Governor Adeleke thanked the delegation for their visit and reaffirmed his commitment to people-centered governance.

“Today marks the start of our campaign for the August 15, 2026 governorship election. We seek your prayers and support for a free and fair election that reflects the will of the people,” he said.
