Two dead, four injured in Borno suicide bombing

Two persons died while four injured in the suicide bombing that occurred along Baga-Monguno Highway, Borno on Saturday.

The Borno Police Command confirmed this on Sunday, adding that the four injured people had since been taken to the hospital.

According to the State Commissioner of Police Aderemi Opadokun, a female suicide bomber detonated an Improvised Explosive Devise (IED) strapped on her body along Baga/Monguno highway, killing herself and two others on Saturday.

He said,“Four persons sustained injuries during the attack, adding that the police was able to avert another incident of suicide bombing at Tungushe village in Konduga LGA on Saturday near a military check point.
