Tribute to a hero, Late Senator Isiaka Adeleke @70th posthumous birthday

“Iba sepe aiku l’aye, Ara Igbaun da”. Death is inevitable, though, what people will say after ones demise is most essential.

Today would have been a special day for my mentor, father and a political juggernaut, late Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke as he would have entered  septuagenarians age, but alas! death took him away from us, what a pity!

Had it been you’re alive, the air would have rented with clouds as sweet rendition would have occupied the air waves, in commemorating your 70th birthday anniversary.

O ma se o, kokoro Ko je k’agbadun obi to gbo, who are we to query almighty Allah, who giveth and taketh, I  am particularly pained today. I am in sorrowful mood. I would have been more joyous had it been you’re alive to witness your septuagenarian age.

Oga mi, oluko mi, alaanu mi, death took you away when your mentorship was needed most. You would have been alive today to see wonderful and gigantic developments going on in Osun under your brother, Ademola Adeleke who has built and continues to build on the good foundations you laid as the first executive governor of Osun state. It’s a pity you are not live to see the rewards of your good deed.

Your 70th birthday today, if you were alive, would have been celebrated all over the world, but Allah knows everything as He’s the maker of our souls.

As we mark your 70th posthumous birthday today, I rejoice because the good works you did for our people and the legacies you left behind. I commended your doggedness towards better Osun while you were alive. This, your brother has continued. I am happy to received tutelage from you when you were alive. All the lesson you taught me still live in me and have become guilding principles. You taught me how to be generous and open minded. The rewards are there for me.

My mentor and father, words are not enough to qualify you. You’re an immeasurable; a thoroughbred politicians. Your doors were always opened for people. You taught me to be kind to people, and t put people first. I cannot but appreciate you for all that you did for me. Continue to rest in the blossom of almighty God till the day of resurrection.

Aljana Fridaous, late serubawon.
