South East insecurity is deliberate – Police PRO

Muyiwa Adejobi, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), has claimed that insecurity in the South East geopolitical zone is deliberate.

According to him, it is the responsibility of the people of the zone to look inward to find solution to it.

There’s been series of attacks by gunmen suspected to sympathetic to the separatist agitation in the zone.

Simon Ekpa, Finland based self acclaimed follower of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), had declared sit-at-home every Monday, which is being violently enforced by gunmen.

Ekpa, who is currently under investigation in Finland over his activities, had also declared that there would be no election in the Southeast, a development that has caused concerns.

Reacting to a tweep who accused the police of not doing enough to end the criminality I was the zone, the police spokesman said the people of the zone should look inward, as according to him, the insecurity is deliberate.

“You just want to force me to talk, but i won’t talk,” he said. “Look inward and proffer solution to the problem in the SE, which is deliberate. With that, we will all be fine lass lass.”
