Oscars 2025 Nominations Announced, Emilia Pérez Leads with Multiple Nominations

The nominations for the 2025 Oscars have been announced, with Emilia Pérez receiving the most nominations across several categories. The awards will honor the best movies and actors from the past year. The announcement was delayed twice due to fires in Los Angeles.

The Best Picture nominees include popular films such as Anora, Dune: Part Two, and Wicked. In the Best Actor category, Timothée Chalamet – A Complete Unknown and Colman Domingo – Sing Sing were nominated. Cynthia Erivo – Wicked and Karla Sofía Gascón – Emilia Pérez were nominated for Best Actress.

Other top categories include Best Director, where Jacques Audiard – Emilia Pérez and Sean Baker – Anora received nominations. The Best Supporting Actress nominees include Ariana Grande – Wicked and Zoe Saldaña – Emilia Pérez, while Kieran Culkin – A Real Pain and Edward Norton – A Complete Unknown, are in the Best Supporting Actor category.

Movies competing for Best Animated Feature include Flow, Inside Out 2, and The Wild Robot. Meanwhile, I’m Still Here from Brazil and The Girl with the Needle from Denmark are nominated for Best International Feature.

The Oscars will take place on March 2, 2025, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. The event will celebrate achievements in acting, directing, music, and technical categories.
