Legend Internet names Chris Pitan as new Chief Financial Officer

Legend Internet Plc has announced the appointment of Mr. Chris Pitan as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective September 1, 2025. The company disclosed this in a notice to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and the investing public.

Mr. Pitan, a Certified Chartered Accountant, brings over 15 years of experience spanning financial services, technology, energy, and real estate. He is widely recognised for his expertise in delivering strategic financial insights, driving corporate growth, and ensuring compliance in complex business environments.

Before joining Legend Internet, Pitan served as Commercial Finance Manager at Sky Group (UK), where he managed over $200 million in capital and operational budgets. He also optimised cloud and streaming investments valued at $120 million annually, achieving significant cost efficiencies while aligning financial operations with corporate objectives.

Earlier, he was Finance Business Partner at West Kent Housing Association (UK), where he oversaw a £100 million budget and introduced advanced financial monitoring systems that enhanced transparency and decision-making.

His previous experience also includes senior leadership roles at Megadrill Services LLC / Depthwize Limited (US/Nigeria), where he spearheaded initiatives that delivered $60 million in tax savings, restructured $100 million in corporate debt, and successfully managed a $200 million bond issuance.

Pitan began his career at KPMG Nigeria, advising multinational clients on mergers and acquisitions, tax structuring, and regulatory compliance.

He holds an MSc in Law and Finance from Queen Mary University of London, is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and is also a qualified Barrister at Law (BL) with an LLB in Law.
