Hon. Isiaka holds mid-term constituency engagement, distributes festive gifts in

The federal lawmaker representing Yewa North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency, Hon. Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, has held a mid-term constituency engagement in Ayetoro as part of efforts to strengthen democratic accountability and deepen grassroots connection.

The well-attended engagement brought together traditional rulers, community leaders, elders, youths, women’s groups, party faithful and other stakeholders from across the constituency. The event also featured the distribution of Christmas and New Year gifts to residents as part of the lawmaker’s end-of-year outreach.

Speaking at the occasion, Hon. Isiaka reaffirmed his commitment to people-oriented representation, explaining that the mid-term engagement was designed to give an account of his stewardship at the National Assembly while also listening directly to the needs and expectations of his constituents.
“This engagement is about transparency, accountability and partnership with our people. Representation does not end in Abuja; it begins and ends with the constituents,” he said.

“As we celebrate the festive season, it is important that no one is left behind. That is why we are distributing these gifts to support families during the Christmas and New Year celebrations,” he added.

The lawmaker highlighted some of his legislative activities, motions, constituency interventions and ongoing efforts to attract federal projects to Yewa North/Imeko-Afon, assuring constituents that more dividends of democracy would be delivered in the remaining half of his tenure.

Responding on behalf of the traditional rulers and local government chairmen, the Eselu of Iselu, Oba Akintunde Akinyemi, alongside Dr Olusola Akinbode, commended Hon. Isiaka for maintaining regular engagement with his constituents.

“The lawmaker has shown that leadership is about service. This mid-term engagement and the concern he has shown for our people reflect sincerity and respect for those who elected him,” Oba Akinyemi said.

Some elders from the constituency, including Chief Mrs Mary Ogunjobi, Ogun State Iyaloja General, Alhaja Yemisi Abass and Chief Kunle Adeosun, also commended the lawmaker’s inclusive approach.

“It is rare to see a representative who consistently comes home to listen to the people. We appreciate his efforts and pray that God grants him the strength to do more for our constituency,” they said.
