Etiaba hails Peter Obi, describes him as symbol of good governance

Former Anambra State Governor, Dame Virgy Etiaba, has described the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, as an outstanding leader whose commitment to good governance transcends political affiliation.

Etiaba made the remarks in a goodwill message to mark Obi’s 65th birthday, praising his contributions to public service, economic management and national development.

In a statement issued by the spokesman of the Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR), Idris Zekeri Jnr, the former governor said Obi’s record in public office and his commitment to accountability had continued to inspire Nigerians across generations.

She noted that Obi’s emphasis on prudent resource management, investment in education, healthcare and infrastructure, as well as his advocacy for inclusive development, had elevated public discourse and encouraged greater civic participation among Nigerians at home and in the diaspora.

According to Etiaba, Obi has become a leading voice on issues of diligence, integrity, competence and responsible leadership beyond the political arena.
