Aregbsola Ex-Aide, Alabi, Youth Wing Rejoins APC in Osun

Former Senior Special Assistant to Rauf Aregbsola in Osun State, Hon. Wale Alabi, along with his political group, The Blue Movement, on Wednesday formally rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
The event, held at Adenle Grammar School Field in Ayetoro, Osogbo, was attended by prominent APC political figures.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Alabi, the convener of the Blue Movement, stressed that the group had never truly left the APC.
“What we did was to belong to a circus inside the party. For a long time, we have remained active in APC activities,” he said.
He added: “Today, we celebrate the creation of the Blue Movement and use this occasion to reactivate ourselves within the party. Across the state, our representatives reflect the strength of our movement, which numbers in the thousands. By the grace of God, even one member of the Blue Movement can deliver five to ten votes, and when multiplied by our numbers, that translates into significant support for our candidates.”
Alabi also criticised the current state administration, alleging mismanagement of federal allocations. “It is unfortunate that someone unqualified is governing our state. The current leadership has been wasting billions while the federal government returns removed subsidies to take care of the people. This must change in 2026,” he said.
He urged the people of Osun to support the progressive party, which he described as the only party capable of delivering development and economic prosperity. “Asiwaju Munirundeen Oyebamiji is our candidate. We believe in his record and capacity to restore Osun to economic prosperity,” Alabi stated.
Speaking at the event, the APC gubernatorial candidate in Osun, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, described the rejoining of the Blue Movement as a symbol of unity that would strengthen the party ahead of the August 8, 2026 gubernatorial election.
“The Blue Movement consists of core APC members. During the 2022 governorship election, about 6,000 of them stepped aside. Today, we welcome them back and are reinstating them in a meaningful way. This will significantly boost APC’s voting strength in Osun,” Oyebamiji said.
He called on party members to collaborate with the Blue Movement, urging cooperation from the unit level to the ward level to ensure a strong showing in the upcoming polls.
