Ekiti crisis worsens as thugs block roads leading to the State Capital

Osoko Opeyemi | Ekiti State was thrown into confusion early hours of today, as thugs took over the major roads and sent panic to the residents.

Such roads like Olasore, Efon alaye and Ikere section of the Akure-Ado Road were blocked by the touts, Hallmark learnt.

According to an eyewitness, some of the roads will not be opened until 4pm today.
He said, “The act was as the result of Governor Ayo Fayose’s call on Ekiti people to take to the street in bid to save him from being impeached by the State APC lawmakers’’.
The People’s Democratic Party had earlier said its members would mobilize and resist any plots by the lawmakers to impeach the governor.
