Dangote Refinery rolls out free petrol delivery to Abuja, Ogun, Rivers, three other states

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has launched a free delivery service for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, to customers in six locations across the country while retaining its ex-depot price of N1,075 per litre.

The company disclosed the development in a notice posted on its official X account on Wednesday.

According to the refinery, the initiative covers the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, as well as Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Kaduna and Delta states.

It explained that the free delivery service is available to customers who purchase a minimum of 250,000 litres of petrol.

The move comes days after the refinery held consultations with stakeholders in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector on the need for cost-reflective pricing of petroleum products.

The meeting ended with industry operators backing further reductions in the price of petrol to ease costs for consumers.

The rollout also follows the refinery’s latest downward review of its gantry price, which was recently reduced to N1,075 per litre, marking the fourth price cut announced by the company in recent months.

Meanwhile, the President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Abubakar Maigandi, recently said petrol prices at filling stations had dropped by about N125 per litre over the past three weeks.

According to him, retail prices now range between N1,155 and N1,299 per litre, depending on location and the marketer.
