Stock market extends bullish trend, up by 0.59%

The Nigerian stock market on Tuesday extended its bullish trend to as the All Share Index grew by 0.59% to close at 153,354.13 points from the previous close of 152,459.07 points.
The Market Capitalisation grew by 0.60% to close at N97.772 trillion from the previous close of N97.193 trillion, thereby adding N579 billion.
An aggregate of 677 million units of shares were traded in 27,589 deals, valued at N20.8 billion.
The Market Breadth closed positive as 34 equities emerged as gainers against 17 that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
ALEX led other gainers with 9.86% growth to close at N14.90 from the previous close of N13.55
AUSTINLAZ, CUSTODIAN and FIRSTHOLDCO among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.81%, 9.69% and 9.35% respectively.
Percentage Losers
Royal Exchange led other price decliners as it shed 7.22% of its share price to close at N1.80 from the previous close of N1.94.
Champion BREWERIES and NASCON among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 6.57% and 5.36% respectively.
Volume Drivers
VFDGROUP traded about 192 million units of its shares in 164 deals, valued at N2 billion.
GTCO traded about 63 million units of its shares in 1387 deals, valued at N5.59 billion.
ACCESSCORP traded about 50 million units of its shares in 1536 deals, valued at N1 billion.
