Renewed Hope Ambassadors ready to mobilise one million votes for Tinubu in Osun – Akere

The Osun State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and former Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon. Sunday Akere, has declared the group’s readiness to mobilise massive grassroots support for President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the forthcoming governorship and general elections.
Akere made the declaration on Tuesday during the inauguration of Renewed Hope Ambassadors across the 30 local government areas and the Modakeke Area Office of the state, held at the Ileri Oluwa Campaign Office in the Ogo-Oluwa area of Osogbo.
He said the inauguration was aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots engagement, mobilisation and representation across all parts of the state.
According to him, the economic reforms introduced by President Tinubu — including the removal of fuel subsidy, foreign exchange unification and tax restructuring — are already yielding positive results across key sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, education, healthcare, infrastructure, power and energy.
Akere expressed optimism that the impact of these initiatives would make the President’s re-election easier and also boost the APC’s chances in the Osun governorship election scheduled for August 8.
“We are inaugurating these ambassadors to deepen the party’s engagement, enhance grassroots mobilisation and ensure effective representation across the nooks and crannies of Osun State,” he said.
Speaking at the event, the APC governorship candidate in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, said the socio-economic reforms under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda were already producing positive outcomes and repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth.
Oyebamiji described the reforms as among the most impactful in the country’s history, commending the President’s commitment to long-term national development.
He noted that the administration’s programmes — including the removal of fuel subsidy, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), consumer credit schemes and local government autonomy — were designed to improve the lives of Nigerians across all strata.
“Our President and National Leader of the party, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has introduced several initiatives that are projecting Nigeria as an emerging and growing economy, as acknowledged by international financial institutions such as the IMF and the World Bank,” Oyebamiji said.
“These programmes, which are numerous, are aimed at making life better for Nigerians, regardless of their background.”
He expressed confidence that the newly inaugurated Renewed Hope Ambassadors at the local government level would play a critical role in taking the message of the party and the Federal Government’s programmes to the grassroots.
“A vote for AMBO is a vote to ensure that these programmes are more easily felt by the people of Osun State,” he added.
The APC State Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, represented at the event by the party’s Treasurer, Hon. Femi Kujembola, commended party members for their steadfast support and assured them of continued dividends of democracy under the Tinubu administration.
