VIDEO: Tragedy averted as plane catches fire in US
Tragedy was averted on Sunday as a Spirit Airline’s plane flying from Tampa, Florida caught fire on the runway at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport in Atlanta.
In a social media video on the incident, fire and smoke emanated from the bottom of the packed plane.
Airport officials said the landing gear of the plane caught fire and Atlanta Fire Rescue was able to put out the fire with no one hurt.
