Nine rescued as building sinks in Lagos
The Lagos fire service has rescued nine people from a sinking building in Lagos State.
The service said the building is situated at Akinyemi street, Akinwunmi Estate in Mende, Maryland area of the state.
Ibrahim Farinloye, Lagos coordinator, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), said officials of the service were deployed to the scene of the incident after receiving a distress call about the emergency.
