Literary publishers, connoisseurs discuss reading at NBRP parley at NIBF 2023
Three literary publishers and two book connoisseurs would headline the Readers Parley at the 22nd Edition of the Nigerian International Book Fair that takes place in Lagos this week.
While the entire fair event runs from Wednesday May 10 to 13, the Readers Parley which is a joining event being contributed by the Network of Book Clubs and Reading Culture Promoters in Nigeria, NBRP would take place on Friday May 12.
The session would feature as panelists Masobe Books publisher, Othuke Ominiabohs; Parresia Limited CEO, Azafi Omoluabi; MD, Purple Shelves, Amara Chimeka; and CRIMMD Library founder, Raphael James.
On hand to moderate the session would be the Secretary General of the avant-garde total arts promotions ensemble, the Committee for Relevant Art, CORA, Mr. Toyin Akinosho.
The Readers Parley would particularly take.place from 3pm on the scheduled Friday, May 12.
NBRP is the aggregating Organisation for Book Clubs in Nigeria. Since it’s founding in November 2020, the body which has members drawnnfrommall then geopolitical zones in Nigeria, has regularly hosted a myriad of reading promotions activities across Nigeria with the latest being the mega-advocacy Lagos Book Walk exercise undertaken to flag off the tenure of Lagos as the Nigerian National Book Clubs City.
The Readers Parley is the second programme in the year long feast.of activities that would span all local.government areas in Lagos State between April 2023 and April 2024.
