The African Democratic Congress has constituted committees to supervise its forthcoming ward, local government and state congresses across the 36 states of the federation.
The development was announced in a statement issued on Sunday by the Acting National Secretary of the party, Tunji Lausa.
Lausa said the appointments were approved by the party’s national leadership under the National Chairman, Nafiu Bala Gombe, in accordance with the provisions of the party’s constitution.
According to the statement, the appointed officials will oversee the conduct of the congresses where new party leaders will emerge at the ward, local government and state levels.
“These appointments are in accordance with the ADC Constitution. The selected officials are tasked with conducting the congresses to elect new party leaders at the respective levels,” the statement said.
