FG generates N2.4bn from marriages in 12 months
Nigeria’s Federal Government says it generated about N2.4 billion in 2024 from marriage contracts through its marriage registry at the Ministry of Interior.
Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Interior, disclosed this on Tuesday in Abuja during a media interface.
The minister said the ministry also generated over N3.2 billion from expatriate quota applications, saying overall, there was a 150 per cent increase in revenue generated.
