BREAKING: Wike’s camp pulls out of Atiku’s campaign, insist on Ayu’s resignation
Nyesom Wike, Rivers State governor and his group have pulled out of the campaign Council of Atiku Abubakar, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate.
Atiku and Wike have been at loggerheads over the former’s choice of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Delta State governor, as his running mate.
Wike’s camp have been demanding for the resignation of Iyorchia Ayu, the pPDP national chairman as the condition for peace.
Rising from their stormy meeting in Port Harcourt early morning on Wednesday, members of the team vowed not to partake in Atiku’s campaign activities pending the resignation of Ayu.
