Biodun Adedipe to headline Business Hallmark's policy dialogue on impact of Nigeria's economic reforms

Business Hallmark Newspaper has announced plans to host a high-level policy dialogue aimed at examining the impact of Nigeria’s ongoing economic reforms and assessing whether they are delivering tangible benefits to citizens and businesses.

The virtual event is scheduled for June 24, 2026, and will bring together leading economists, policy analysts, business executives and other stakeholders to evaluate the country’s economic performance nearly three years into the current reform agenda.

The dialogue is themed “Nigeria Midway Through Reform: Are We Seeing Progress or Just Enduring Pain?” and will focus on the effectiveness of key policy interventions, their implications for economic growth and living standards, and the prospects for sustained recovery.

According to the organisers, the forum is designed to provide a balanced platform for assessing both the achievements and challenges of the reform process, as well as its broader implications for Africa’s largest economy.

The event will be led by Professor Biodun Adedipe, founder and Chief Consultant of B. Adedipe Associates Limited, who will serve as lead speaker. He is expected to provide an in-depth review of Nigeria’s macroeconomic conditions and the performance of recent fiscal and monetary policy measures.

The session will be moderated by financial analyst and Chief Economist/Managing Editor of Proshare Nigeria, Mr. Teslim Shitta-Bey.

Other confirmed panelists include Dr. Boniface Chizea, Chief Executive Officer of BIC Consultancy Services; Mr. David Adonri, Vice Chairman of Highcap Securities Limited; and Mr. Emma Nwosu, Chief Executive Officer of Momentum and Pace Consulting Limited. They are expected to provide expert perspectives on how ongoing reforms are affecting businesses, investors and households.

The organisers said the discussion will also interrogate key policy questions, including whether current reforms are translating into measurable economic gains or whether citizens are still experiencing more economic strain than relief.

It will further explore ways to deepen reform implementation while reducing negative social and economic impacts.

The event will be held virtually via Zoom and is open to policymakers, business leaders, academics, investors and members of the public interested in Nigeria’s economic outlook.
