Zenith wins big in the Global Banking & Finance Review awards

Zenith Bank Plc has once again distinguished itself as a bank of repute and leading bank in Nigeria, as the bank has won two awards in the Global Banking & Finance Review awards for the year 2015.

The Global and finance review reflects achievements and inspirational progress in the global financial community and serves to honour those who have attained the highest standards in their relative fields.

Winners are selected based on inputs from industry analysts, corporate executives and users of related services, in addition to conducting independent research. Potential winners are scored based on a proprietary algorithm.

It will be recalled that Zenith bank was rated the best in service delivery in the KPMG Banking Industry Customer Satisfaction Survey (BICSS) in 2013 and 2014.

The bank was also conferred with a number of awards amongst which were ‘Bank of the Year Nigeria 2013 by The Banker Magazine, a publication of Financial Times of London and the prestigious ‘Best Bank in Corporate Governance’ award by World Finance.

Zenith Bank also emerged first in a survey conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) to determine the most respected companies and chief executives in Nigeria in 2014.

According to PWC,  the bank was rated for its high ethical standards and excellent leadership style, coupled with strong management principles and structure plus a smooth succession plan as well as a very resourceful company with excellent business culture.

The bank has an impressive track record both in terms of professionalism and its capital base.

It recorded a 20 per cent growth in gross earnings which stood at N113 billion for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015 from N94 billion achieved during the same period in 2014.
