The government of the United States has announced visa restrictions on Nigerian politicians who undermined the country’s 2023 general elections.
Antony Blinken, the United States secretary of state announced the development in a tweet on Monday.
“We have imposed visa restrictions on specific individuals who undermined the democratic process during Nigeria’s 2023 elections,” he wrote. “We remain committed to supporting Nigerian aspirations to strengthen democracy and rule of law.”
