Tweeps slam LP reps member-elect, Ogah over comments on Tinubu

Labour Party supporters on social media platform, Twitter, have berated Amobi Ogah, a House of Representatives member-elect on the platform of the party for praising Bola Tinubu, the president of Nigeria.

Ogah, who was elected from Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency of Abia State, said he never knew that Tinubu was so intelligent, and he felt so proud listening to a man who is prepared to serve Nigerians.

The lawmaker-elect spoke during an interview with newsmen on Friday after the National Assembly members-elect met with Tinubu at the State House to resolve the leadership crisis of the lawmakers.

He said, “Today is my best day; today I’m so happy that I’m an elected member, seeing my President talking. In fact, I never knew that this man was so intelligent.

“He is so prepared to serve this country. During my meeting with him, I saw the love, the character, the charisma, and the belief that Nigeria can be a better nation.

“So I’m so glad that the meeting we have today is going to take us a little bit to a more stabilised House.”

The LP lawmaker-elect stressed that he is not even concerned that he is of a different party but about the most important decision, which is the growth of the country.

“As of now, the party is not the issue; we’re talking about building the nation,” he added.

But his comments did not go down well with supporters of Labour Party, whose presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, is challenging the outcome of the election that produced Tinubu in court.

A number of them took to social media to slam the lawmaker, who was until recently, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) describing him as a betrayer who needed to be recalled.

“Which constituency is this man. He needs a recall. Is very possible,” wrote Desmond, @Desmond5467612.

Another user, Badmos, @its_gohkeh, said “Let’s give him some time, he is still a Rookie. This is what you see when time and opportunity come to play, when you don’t understand the vision of the flood that swept you into a certain position. We will come back to this, let’s focus on the stolen mandate and manifesto.”

On her part, Nwa, @Nwaadaz, said, “This guy is APC low budget betrayer, he’s the brother of Uche Ogah former Minister of state mines and steel under buhari government. He just use Labour party to win the election.

Another user, Lucas, @lucas4dominion, said, “This must be one of those corrupt, wicked old order politicians who rode on the wave of Obidients to power, while we were not watching. We must keep an eye on him. He is there to serve Nigerians and not to do sycophancy”
