Apostle Abiodun Sanyaolu

Teaching staff in public secondary schools across Ogun State have been urged to uphold transparency and loyalty in the discharge of their duties.

The Chairman of the State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Apostle Biodun Sanyaolu, gave the advice during a monitoring visit to selected schools in the Ijebu and Egba divisions as part of the ongoing verification exercise for teaching personnel in the state.

Sanyaolu, who was accompanied by the Commission’s Permanent Secretary, Mr. Akintomiwa Osibodu, said the visit was aimed at assessing the level of compliance with the verification process.

He explained that the exercise is critical to updating the database of teaching staff across the state, noting that it would also support the Commission’s digitisation drive and broader reforms in the education sector.

The TESCOM chairman expressed satisfaction with the conduct of teachers so far and urged them to continue cooperating with verification teams to ensure the success of the exercise.

Speaking on behalf of the teaching staff, zonal secretaries from Ogun Waterside, Ijebu-Ode, Ikenne and Odeda – Mr. Sefiu Ariyo, Mr. Tomilope Olugbesan, Mrs. Iyabode Oguntoyin and Mrs. Idowu Saka – commended the commission for the initiative and pledged their support to ensure a hitch-free process.

Schools visited during the exercise included Abigi Community Grammar School, Abigi; Adeola Odutola College, Ijebu-Ode; Remo Secondary School, Sagamu; and Lisabi Grammar School, Abeokuta.
