Stock market rises further by 0.13% higher

The Nigerian stock market on Thursday closed higher as the All Share Index rose by 0.13% to close at 160,806.56 points from the previous close of 160,591.76 points.

The Market Capitalisation appreciated by 0.13% to close at N102.822 trillion from the previous close of N102.685 trillion, thereby adding N118 billion.

An aggregate of 645 million units of shares were traded in 44,410 deals, valued at N16.4 billion.

The Market Breadth closed negative as 32 equities emerged as gainers against 41 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

NEIMETH led other gainers with 10.00% growth to close at N7.70 from the previous close of 7.00

May & Baker, ETRANZACT and MULTIVERSE among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.85%, 9.64% and 9.51% respectively.

Percentage Losers

International Energy Insurance led other price decliners as it shed 9.90% of its share price to close at N2.73 from the previous close of N3.03.

ABC Transport and AUSTINLAZ among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.88% and 9.84% respectively.

Volume Drivers

CHAMS traded about 60 million units of its shares in 607 deals, valued at N236.8 million.

Linkage Assurance traded about 54 million units of its shares in 224 deals, valued at N97.6 million.

TANTALIZER traded about 45 million units of its shares in 258 deals, valued at N130 million.
