Ruthwipdale Schools Hosts Inaugural Mathematics and English Inter-Schools Competition

The much anticipated Ruthwipdale inaugural Mathematics and English inter-schools competition took place on Thursday, 20th November 2025, at Ruthwipdale Schools, Ipaja. The competition, aimed at promoting academic excellence, critical thinking, and healthy competition among students from different schools had a successful start.

Five qualifying schools participated in the final round, showcasing their skills and knowledge in Mathematics and English. Ruthwipdale Schools, Ipaja, an elite British curriculum school emerged victorious, followed closely by Merry Kiddies, Ipaja, and Bright Explorers, Ayobo, who took the 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively.

The competition was designed to provide a platform for students to demonstrate their problem-solving abilities, linguistic skills, and teamwork. The event also sought to foster a spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship among participating schools.

According to the organisers and the Management of Ruthwipdale Schools, were pleased with the success of the inaugural competition and is committed to hosting the 2nd Annual Mathematics and English competition in 2026, with plans to expand participation to schools across the state.

“We are thrilled with the response and enthusiasm shown by the participating schools,” said Mrs. Nike Odetola, Proprietress, Ruthwipdale Schools. “We look forward to continuing this tradition and making it a flagship event in the academic calendar.”

On hands to witness the competition is Dr. Olufemi Omoyele of the Osun State University and Comrade Adebisi Olumide of the Education Rights Concern.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr.Omoyele noted that ” The inaugural competition of Ruthwipdale Schools Competition was highly successful, it’s my belief that next year’s edition will be better than this year , but I really commend the organisers.
