Doris Uzoka-Anite has pledged to strengthen policy coordination and support the Federal Government’s economic agenda following her redeployment to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning as Minister of State.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu moved Uzoka-Anite from the Ministry of Finance, where she served as Minister of State, to her new portfolio as part of ongoing adjustments within the Federal Executive Council.
Reacting to the development in a statement on Wednesday, the minister described the reassignment as an honour and expressed appreciation to the President for the confidence reposed in her. She reaffirmed her commitment to the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the pursuit of measurable outcomes for Nigerians.
Uzoka-Anite said she is eager to collaborate with the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Bagudu, alongside the ministry’s leadership and stakeholders nationwide, to ensure stronger alignment between planning, budgeting and implementation.
According to her, effective coordination across government institutions will be essential to advancing national priorities and accelerating inclusive economic growth.
She also congratulated Taiwo Oyedele on his nomination as Minister of State for Finance, wishing him a seamless confirmation process and success in his forthcoming responsibilities.
Uzoka-Anite’s redeployment underscores the administration’s emphasis on synchronising fiscal planning and development strategy as it seeks to drive economic stability and long-term growth.
