Omo-Agege beats Ekweremadu, emerges Deputy Senate President

Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ovie Omo-Agege, has been elected Deputy Senate President of the 9th Senate.

Omo-Agege who was the choice of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) scored 68 votes to beat his challenger,  Senator Ike Ekweremadu of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who had 37 votes to emerge.

Earlier, Senator Ahmed Lawan beat Ali Ndume 79 to 28 to emerge Senate President President.
