Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Obokun Local Government Area have outlined fresh steps to deepen grassroots mobilisation as preparations intensify for the 2026 Osun State governorship election.
The resolutions were reached at a fortnightly meeting of the Obokun Leaders Forum held in Ilahun, Ward 3, where party stakeholders reviewed internal structures and assessed campaign readiness across the council area.
Participants said discussions focused on strengthening party unity and consolidating support at ward and community levels ahead of the poll.
Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye stated that reconciliation among party members remains a top priority.
“Our focus is to ensure that every tendency within the party feels included and carried along as we prepare for the governorship election,” he said.
He added that restoring trust and rebuilding confidence where necessary would form the foundation of the mobilisation drive in the months ahead.
Hon. Tunji Adesokun, a co-convener of the meeting, stressed the importance of expanding engagement in rural communities.
“Communities at the grassroots must be actively involved. Political success begins from the wards and extends to every polling unit,” he said.
The forum resolved to broaden its outreach initiatives to ensure all wards in Obokun LGA are fully integrated into the party’s activities.
Members also agreed on the need for sustained dialogue and consultation among stakeholders to prevent internal divisions that could undermine campaign efforts.
“Reconciliation is not a one-off exercise. It requires sustained effort, open communication and collective responsibility,” a party official at the meeting said.
Leaders reiterated their commitment to building what they described as a disciplined and people-focused political structure capable of delivering results at the polls.
The meeting also reviewed mobilisation strategies aimed at increasing participation among party faithful and attracting prospective supporters ahead of the 2026 contest.
At the close of the gathering, the forum affirmed its readiness to work collectively toward securing victory for the party in Osun State while maintaining internal stability within Obokun Local Government Area.
