Nigerian Bourse sustains bullish trend, closes the year positive
Bullish session continues on the floor of Nigerian Exchange on December 31, 2025, the last trading day of the year, extending the gains to ten straight session. The All Share Index grew by 0.37% to close at 155,613.03 points from the previous close of 155,034.72 points.
The Market Capitalisation appreciated by 0.37% to close at N99.376 trillion from the previous close of N98.864 trillion, thereby adding N512 billion.
An aggregate of 1.2 billion units of shares were traded in 27,884 deals, valued at N35 billion.
The Market Breadth closed positive as 47 equities emerged as gainers against 16 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
ALEX led other gainers with 9.90% growth to close at N21.65 from Tuesday’s close of N19.70.
AUSTINLAZ, MEYER and C & I Leasing among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.82%, 9.75% and 9.60% respectively.
Percentage Losers
NEIMETH led other price decliners as it shed 9.38% of its share price to close at N4.80 from the previous close of N6.40.
TANTALIZER and International Breweries among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 6.72% and 4.44% respectively.
Volume Drivers
CHAMS traded about 710 million units of its shares in 321 deals, valued at N2.6 billion.
Zenith Bank traded about 59 million units of its shares in 1608 deals, valued at N3.7 billion.
ACCESSCORP traded about 58 million units of its shares in 2064 deals, valued at N1.2 billion.
