New Year 2026: Akinleye rejoices with Osun people, commends Adeleke’s transformative leadership
The Chief of Staff to the Osun State Governor, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, has rejoiced with the people of the state on the occasion of the New Year, expressing optimism and hope for greater progress in 2026.
In a New Year message issued and personally signed on Thursday, Akinleye called on residents to continue working together to sustain the growth and prosperity of Osun State.
He expressed satisfaction with the support given to the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke in recent years and urged the people not to relent, describing 2026 as a crucial year to consolidate the achievements of the current government.
“As we joyfully welcome the year 2026, I extend my warmest New Year greetings to the great people of Osun State, our dear nation and friends across the globe. May this new year bring renewed hope, peace, good health and abundant blessings to every home,” he said.
Akinleye commended Governor Adeleke’s leadership style, describing it as people-centred and transformative.
“I proudly commend and appreciate our amiable Governor, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, whose visionary leadership has ushered in remarkable transformation across Osun State. His commitment to infrastructure development, workers’ welfare and social progress has restored hope and confidence in governance, firmly placing Osun on the path of sustainable growth,” he stated.
The Chief of Staff called on citizens to remain united and steadfast, particularly as the Osun governorship election approaches.
“With the Osun governorship election scheduled for August 8, 2026, I passionately call on our people to come out en masse to support and vote for Governor Ademola Adeleke, so he can continue his outstanding work and consolidate the gains already achieved for our dear state,” he said.
Akinleye urged residents to move forward with unity and determination in the New Year.
“Together, let us move forward with faith, unity and determination. May 2026 be a year of greater achievements, continuous progress and shared prosperity for Osun State. Happy New Year,” he added.
