NASENI launches inter-agency innovation competition for MDAs

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has launched an Inter-Agency Innovation Competition and Awards aimed at promoting creativity, collaboration, and homegrown technological solutions among Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) of the federal government.

NASENI said the initiative aligns with its statutory mandate to “develop and maintain a dynamic infrastructure to drive Nigeria’s indigenous industrialisation, job creation, and national progress.”

According to the agency, the competition is designed to harness innovative ideas from public servants that can drive technological advancement and provide practical solutions to pressing national challenges across key sectors.

MDAs are invited to submit proposals that leverage science and technology to improve public service delivery and enhance the quality of life for Nigerians. Priority areas include health, agriculture, education, infrastructure, and other critical sectors of the economy.

NASENI encouraged interested MDAs to submit their entries via its official portal at https://naseni.gov.ng/innovation/, noting that the initiative is expected to stimulate innovation within the public sector and strengthen inter-agency collaboration in addressing development challenges.
