Losses by Dangote Cement, Zenith Bank, 15 others push Nigerian equity market down further

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) continued its losing streak on Wednesday, declining  by 0.42 per cent, caused by losses recorded by Dangote Cement, Zenith Bank, 15 others.

The All Share Index (ASI) decreased by 115.27 absolute points, representing a decline of 0.42 per cent to close at 27,412.13 points, while the Market Capitalization lost N56.17 billion, representing a dip of 0.42 per cent and closed at N13.36 trillion.
AIICO emerged the top gainer while REDSTAREX emerged as top loser
The downturn was impacted by losses recorded in large and medium capitalized stocks, amongst which are; JAPAULOIL (-9.09%), MAYBAKER (-5.83%), WEMABANK (-5.17%), UBN (-2.17%), FLOURMILL (-1.92%), DAMGCEM (-1.79%), ZENITHBANK (-1.39%), and FBNH (-0.96%).
