Kogi guber: Vote according to your conscience, KPF tells electorate

Kogi Progressive Foundation (KPF) has told the people of Kogi State to vote for the right candidate in the governorship election scheduled for November 16, 2019.
In a statement made available to Business Hallmark, chairman of KPF Hon. Abubakar Hussaini, was of the view that the state is not being taken serious by the federal government, hence the need for urgent campaigns.
Hussaini said “KPF is not a partisan group. We are not affiliated with any political party. We have no business with any of the candidates vying for the number seat in the land. We are a pressure group asking for good governance. KPF is established to build peace and unity among sons and daughters of Kogi State. It is to galvanize the people of the state to speak with one voice, irrespective of ethnicity or religion.
Speaking further, he said, “Kogi State has been suffering from leadership problem. The state also suffers from neglect by the federal government. We from Kogi State are not recognized, despite boasting of many brilliant people.
“How many Kogi state sons and daughters are occupying key positions in the federal government?
“This group was set up to bring speak to the government of the day to do the needful. As election approaches we urge the people of Kogi State to support any candidate whom they believe have the interest of the state at heart,” he expressed

The two main political parties, the All progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) have elected their candidates for the November 16 governorship election. Governor Yahaya Bello will be representing APC, while Musa Wada emerged as PDP candidate.
