JUST IN: Court remands Gerald Irona, ex-Imo deputy gov in prison
Gerald Irona, a former deputy governor of Imo State, has been remanded in prison custody by a Magistrates’ court in Owerri, the state capital.
C. N Ezerioha, the presiding magistrate, after hearing the prosecution counsel and defence counsel, ordered that Irona be remanded in Owerri correctional centre.
She further said that the court does not have the jurisdiction to hear the matter.
