Details as SEC revokes registration of Kensington Agro Trading Limited

SEC tasks quoted companies to promote stronger sustainability reporting to attract investors

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has notified the general public of the revocation of the registration of Kensington Agro Trading Limited as a capital market operator with immediate effect.

Kensington Agro Trading Limited was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)as Commodity Broker/Dealer and Collateral Manager.

In a statement available on the website of the apex regulator of the Nigerian capital market, SEC stated thus:

The revocation of the company’s registration is invoked pursuant to the powers of the Commission under Section 61(6)of the Investments and Securities Act, 2025, and Rule 34(1) of the SEC Rules and Regulations 2013, as amended.

Accordingly, Commodity Exchanges, the investing public, commodity traders, and all Capital Market Stakeholders are advised to discontinue capital market-related dealings with the company.
