Christmas/New Year: OSCO-HEALTH, Ilesa Proceeds on Four Weeks Break
As the Christmas and new year festivities draws near, students of Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa has been asked to proceed on a 4 weeks vacation to celebrate the period with their families.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Registrar of the institution, Mr Moshood Afolabi and made available to newsmen in Ilesa on Friday.
According to the statement, all academic activities are to be put on hold from Friday 19th December, 2025 till Monday 12th January, 2026.
In another statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Governing Board, Hon. Abayomi Adegoke and the Provost of the College, Dr Lateef Olarewaju Raheem, they both wished both staff and students a merry Christmas and a happy new year in advance.
They urged students as well as members of staff to use the holiday period to be with their families and enjoy the festivities of the Christmas and new year.
The statement urged all to celebrate in moderation and remember those who are in need around them and endeavour to put smiles on their faces as that is the main significance of the Christmas and new year celebrations.
The statement by the Chairman and Provost reads in part, “Lets strive to celebrate the Christmas and new year in moderation and extend love to our neighbours. This is the significance of the period, we must all extend love and empathy to our neighbours and whoever that is around us and in need.
“This period should be seen as a period of deep reflection and have a specific plan and direction for the coming year 2026. Let us use this period to refocus and restrategise so that we can all go into the new year with a renewed vigour to succeed”.
