President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday took aim at those criticising him over the state of insecurity in the country, describing them as unpatriotic.
Former president Olusegun Obasanjo had on Monday written an open letter to Buhari accusing him leading Nigeria to tipping point over his failure to tackle insecurity in the cocountry.
Buhari who spoke while receiving the National Executives of the Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO) at the Presidential Villa Abuja, said that those criticising him over “isolated cases of insecurity in the country were not patriotic Nigerians.”
The president maintained that many countries around the world were facing one security challenge or the other.
He also said there were challenges of banditry and kidnapping around the globe.
