The President/Vice Chancellor of Babcock University, Prof. Afolarin Ojewole, has congratulated Chief (Dr.) Wole Olanipekun (SAN), Principal Partner of Wole Olanipekun & Co., on his global recognition in the prestigious Chambers & Partners Global 2026 Rankings as a Senior Statesman in Dispute Resolution.
The university said the honour reaffirms Olanipekun’s towering influence and enduring legacy in the legal profession.
According to the statement, the recognition underscores his decades-long contributions to jurisprudence, advocacy and dispute resolution, both within Nigeria and internationally. His career, it noted, has been defined by excellence, integrity and an unwavering commitment to justice.
Beyond the courtroom, Olanipekun has also distinguished himself as a philanthropist. In 2025, he served as the commencement speaker at Babcock University’s convocation ceremony, where he was conferred with an honorary doctorate degree. He further demonstrated his commitment to education and legal scholarship by donating a Law Auditorium to the university — a landmark facility designed to inspire and equip future generations of lawyers.
“Chief (Dr.) Wole Olanipekun, SAN, has consistently exemplified the highest ideals of scholarship, leadership and service. His recognition as a Senior Statesman in Dispute Resolution by Chambers & Partners Global is a testament to his enduring impact on the legal profession and society at large,” Ojewole said.
“At Babcock University, we remain deeply grateful for his generosity, vision and commitment to nurturing future leaders through his invaluable contributions, including the Law Auditorium he gifted to our institution. We celebrate this honour with him and wish him continued success,” he added.
Olanipekun is widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most respected legal luminaries, with a career spanning several decades.
