The Management of Micheal Okpara University of Agriculture (MOUAU), Umudike, says it will never condone any form of criminality involving any student or staff of the University, emphasizing that the citadel of learning will continue to co-operate with relevant security agencies to rid the campus and society of criminal elements and other miscreants.

The Management was responding to the announcement by the Abia State Police Command on Thursday which announced the arrest of Master Chidozie Humble at a private lodge in Umudike, saying that the 21-year-old male is a 300-level student in the Department of Animal Breeding and Physiology of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike.

Reacting to the development, Chief Public Relations Officer, MOUAU, Ubadire Agua, (Ph.D), stated that the Management of MOUAU has been notified of the news report of the arrest of Chidozie Humble, who claims to be a 300-level student of the University.

He revealed that the institution has commenced profiling Chidozie Humble to ascertain his status as a bonafide student of the University, adding that the finding would be confirmed as soon as possible.

He, however, restated that the administration of Prof. Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe, has zero-tolerance for crime and other acts of criminality, stressing that such can never thrive in the institution as he is poised to rid the campus and society of miscreants and other criminal minds.

He also noted that the institution has been largely peaceful due to the dedication to duty and commitment of both internal and external security operatives.
